~Sculptor, William "Bill" Kolok ~
During his exhibition of "Spindle Series" during July

Regular Center Hours Monday-Friday 11-4pm or call 270-338-2605 for an appointment

Meet Bill at Open House, Thursday, July 16th from 4-6pm

Like the wood and stone he carves, William Kolok's life consists of many layers.
For 30 years he has maintained an active studio in Owensboro Kentucky working in wood and stone. During this time he raised a family and became full professor at Kentucky Wesleyan College. Wood and stone for Kolok is the perfect quality for him to explore his passion. The consistent nature of the layers embodied in each, the subtle variations and the imperfections all add to the character of the material and eventually his sculpture. He takes these layers and through the process of carving reveal a visual connect to the past and his personal concept and ideas. William Kolok continues to work each day; he unveils another layer of material and life. With chiseled texture and hammered time he searches for the beauty, character and imperfection in the wood and stone and in his life.

. See our Events and Exhibits schedule for a full schedule of things to see and do at The Duncan Center.
