IMPORTANT NOTE: The images below are just for testing the images page. This was borrowed only temporarily from muhlon.com. I have not asked permission to place these here but am only using them to test my layout. It is my intent to replace this content with our own as soon as possible.

The images themselves are part of a ditized collection available at the Muhlenberg Community Library History Annex in Greenville, Kentucky. The Muhlenberg image collection is available through the long hours of scanning and identifying by Tom Brizendine and his assistants. Our community is forever indebted for his dedication to Muhlenberg County history.

E. A. Cohen came from
Poland to Clarksville, Tn
Worked as a pack peddler
in Christian & Muhlenberg
Counties. He settled in
Greenville and soon saved
money to buy this horse
and wagon. photo ca 1904


Circa 1918: Built in 1903 by
J.W. Lamb. The Muhlenberg
County Savings Bank was
first tennant on the corner.
Later Old Inn Hotel and Hotel
Greenville. Building razed in
the late 1980s.





Circa 1907: The L&N train is
in Drakesboro and is en-route
to Owensboro. The depot is
on the left, on the east side
of the tracks. Black Diamond
Coal Company #1 is in the
right background.




Max Weir Store circa 1907
was onSouth Main Street in
Greenville. L.B. Knight
replaced this building with
the L.B. Knight Motor
Company in 1923.


Cohen -Solzman Store in 1927
was on the west side of South
Main Street in Greenville.


Main and East Main Cross
in Greeville circa 1908. The
Thomas C. Summers Bldg.
is on the corner. Next is the
Rogers building and Martin
Dry Goods Store.


Old Liberty School was
on the Paradise road.
