Muhlenberg HistoryAt the Duncan Center, you will find a great collection of items from the past of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. Much of it is coal related but you will see deeper into our past by learning about the Native Americans that once lived here. You will see items from the time in which the main transportation in and out of our county was primarily by riverboat or steam train. Here stories of a time when buffalo and black bear roamed the hills of our community. And even more, be taken back to a time when all a person had was their ability to survive this new and dangerous place we call Muhlenberg. Follow the links below to read stories taken from our past and be sure to check out the images and video clips brought to you online by the Duncan Center.
